Job summary

AARNet, Australia’s Academic and Research Network, is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to manage a portion of the AP ledger and help keep financial processes accurate and efficient.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will process supplier invoices, manage supplier records, obtain approvals, and support month-end activities. The role emphasises attention to detail, collaboration across the finance team, and experience with ERP systems (TechnologyOne welcomed).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience processing invoices, payments and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems; TechnologyOne experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Experience in telecommunications/technology industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sub-section of the accounts payable ledger and inbox.
• Maintain suppliers, onboarding and verify ABN, GST and bank details.
• Process supplier invoices with three-way matching and coding.
• Obtain approvals and schedule payments.
• Reconcile statements and resolve supplier queries.
• Support month end, year end and audits.
• Assist other finance team members as required.
