Job summary

Commercial & Legal is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage the firm’s AP function, process supplier invoices and employee claims, and support AR and other finance tasks. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of AP experience, with familiarity across MYOB AE, Xero, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Based in Adelaide, the position offers a full-time, permanent arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience in both AP and AR functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Ensure supplier invoices are reviewed, coded, approved, and processed timely.
• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
• Maintain supplier records including banking details and account information.
• Monitor AP ageing and ensure payments within terms.
• Process employee expense claims and corporate card reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end/year-end AP reconciliations and reporting.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper authorization and allocation.
• Support process improvements and maintain confidentiality.
