Job summary

Everllence is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist in a hybrid Sydney-area role. You will manage the AP mailbox, verify and code invoices, and process claims in a SAP/ERP environment.

The role requires accuracy, strong Excel skills, and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders under time pressure.

Qualifications

• Full working rights in Australia (citizen/PR preferred).
• Hands-on AP experience in service/engineering/sales sectors.
• Experience with SAP and Excel in a paperless setup.
• Good communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and clear AP mailbox and invoices.
• Verify and code invoices; enter into ERP.
• Process employee and travel expense claims.
• Code Amex card transactions and reconcile.
• Perform supplier statement checks and follow ups.
• Handle shipment invoices and landed costs; investigations.
• Ensure documents comply with laws and procedures.
• Process local and international payments; month-end reconciliations.

This is role requires an experienced and highly organised Accounts Payable person who is confident in working in a paper-less environment, has hands-on experience with accounting software (ideally SAP) and Excel, and has ideally gained experience within engineering/service/sales industries.

TASKS:

• Managing and clearing the Accounts Payable generic mailbox
• Invoice verification and coding
• Entering Invoices in ERP system
• Employee Expense Claim/Travel Expense Claim verification, coding and processing
• American Express cardholder transactions download, coding and processing
• Supplier Statement checking and follow up
• Shipment Invoice Management - Group Company, Freight Invoice, Landed cost transactions, and investigations
• Ensuring all payables documents comply with relevant local laws, compliance and conform with Company operating procedures
• Payment processing - local, overseas, and group
• Month-End reporting and reconciliations
• Other tasks as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Full work rights, ideally Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Strong numerical aptitude, advanced analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in same/similar role, ideally in service/engineering/sales industries.
• It is a bonus if you have experience with Accounts Receivables and/or desire to be trained at it.
• Hands-on working knowledge of accounting software, preferably SAP
• High level of Excel and general computer literacy
• Efficient and accurate processing of transactions in a paperless environment
• Effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Problem-solving and time-management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-start, highly organised, able to prioritise work, attention to detail
• Maintaining focus and composure especially under time pressure.
• Successful candidate is required to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and background check.
