Job summary

Challenger Services Group is seeking a motivated Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in Sydney. This role focuses on AP/AR, processing invoices, customer billing, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial operations within a growing national organisation.

You will work closely with Finance, Operations, suppliers and customers, while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting functions and reporting initiatives. The position offers a supportive team and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar accounting role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Analytical, organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and support accounts payable activities.
• Raise customer invoices and support accounts receivable functions.
• Process procurement orders and maintain accurate records.
• Allocate and post daily bank receipts and payments.
• Perform vendor and customer account reconciliations.
• Follow up outstanding customer balances and resolve queries.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Accounts Officer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Processing supplier invoices and supporting accounts payable activities.

• Possesses strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Has experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Is analytical, organised, and detail-oriented.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enjoys problem-solving and finding practical solutions.
• Is self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities.
• Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
