Adventist Healthcare Limited (Aus) is seeking an energetic Accountant for a 14-month maternity leave contract to join the finance team in Sydney. You will own month-end activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations, and support P&L variance analysis.

Responsibilities include fixed assets management, capex, depreciation, bank and cash reconciliations, BAS workpapers, and AP backup as needed. A 2–4 year finance background and strong Excel are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in finance or accounting
• Degree-backed in accounting or finance
• CPA/CA qualified or working towards it
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

Responsabilités

• Run balance sheet reconciliations and support P&L variance analysis
• Manage fixed assets, capex and depreciation, including additions and disposals
• Handle bank, credit card, cash and daily sales reconciliations
• Assist with BAS workpapers and FBT analysis
• Provide AP backup when needed — coding, approvals, payment runs

Accountant

Well known wellness brand on the lookout for an energetic and switched on Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 14 month contract maternity leave contract.

Own your slice of month-end — journals, accruals, reconciliations, workpapers, reporting packs

Run balance sheet recs and support P&L reviews and variance analysis

Manage fixed assets, capex and depreciation, including additions and disposals

Handle bank, credit card, cash and daily sales reconciliations

Get across BAS workpapers and FBT analysis (bonus points if you already are)

Provide AP backup when needed — coding, approvals, payment runs

Be the finance person the teams actually want to talk to

2-4 years in finance or accounting, degree-backed

CPA/CA qualified, working towards it, or a strong Assistant Accountant ready to step up

Confident with Excel — PivotTables, lookups, clean recs

ERP exposure (Dynamics 365 BC, Adyen, Exerp or similar) is a plus, not a must

A steady head for deadlines and a habit of catching small issues before they become big ones

Permanent full-time opportunity, 35 hours/week

Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $154,231 to $178,369 + superannuation + leave loading
