Job summary

About your new Role

We’re looking for a motivated and technically strong Accountant to join the finance team in a permanent capacity. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will see you take ownership of key month-end deliverables, financial reporting, compliance and stakeholder support. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team while gaining exposure to a wide range of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-end reporting including journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions
• Preparation of management and board reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
• Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Capital expenditure and fixed asset management
• Assist with BAS, FBT and other tax compliance requirements
• Foreign currency revaluations and intercompany loan reconciliations
• Support external audit preparation and liaise with auditors
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

About You

• 2-5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant role
• Strong technical accounting skills with exposure to month-end reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
• ERP system experience, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs etc.)
• Proactive, detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a growth mindset, eager to learn and develop
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
