NC Associates Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant in Liverpool to support day-to-day accounting across purchase and sales ledgers, cash allocations and month-end processes. The role offers a stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive finance team.

You will process invoices, reconcile accounts, and assist with reporting using Excel. The position requires accuracy, organisation, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Permanent full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator.
• Strong understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
• Experience processing invoices, payments and receipts.
• Confident completing supplier and bank reconciliations.
• Good understanding of day-to-day accounting procedures.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicating with suppliers and customers.
• AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Process high volumes of purchase and sales invoices.
• Maintain and update purchase and sales ledger accounts.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations.
• Process supplier payments and customer receipts.
• Allocate incoming payments accurately.
• Assist with credit control and outstanding customer balances.
• Handle supplier and customer account queries.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with month-end procedures and journal entries.
• Prepare financial reports and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
• Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Investigate invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Support wider finance team with general accounting duties.
• Ensure financial information is processed accurately and within deadlines.
