Aston Advantage, a private WA-based mining equipment maintenance and fabrication firm, seeks an Accounts/Administration Officer at Malaga. The role covers payroll, invoicing, supplier payments and broad administration in a small, family-style team.

Hours are 9:00 am–3:00 pm Tue–Fri, offering a stable, Perth-based position without FIFO. You will handle timesheets, reporting and BAS-related tasks while supporting purchasing, stock, and general business administration in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage timesheets, WorkflowMax and job administration.
  • Handle phones, emails, mail, filing and general administration.
  • Manage purchasing, stocktake, supplies and delivery dockets.
  • Process maintenance reports, leave requests and scheduling.
  • Prepare meeting notes, minutes and monthly management reports.
  • Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement.

We are a privately owned, family-operated Western Australian engineering business specialising in mining equipment maintenance, rebuilds, engineering and fabrication.

Our main operation is based in Malaga, where we run multiple workshops supported by a core team of experienced tradespeople, management, administration and workshop staff. We are a close-knit, hands-on business supporting the mining and engineering sectors.

The Role

We are seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Accounts / Administration Officer to support the day-to-day running of the business.

Hours: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly payroll, payroll tax and superannuation
  • Process invoices, supplier payments, bills and client payment reminders
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage timesheets, WorkflowMax and job administration
  • Handle phones, emails, mail, filing and general administration
  • Manage purchasing, stocktake, supplies and delivery dockets
  • Process maintenance reports, leave requests and maintenance scheduling
  • Prepare meeting notes, minutes and monthly management reports
  • Assist with higher-level accounting tasks including BAS preparation and lodgement
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with solid accounts and administration experience, ideally including payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, supplier payments and general financial record-keeping. Higher-level accounting experience, such as BAS preparation and lodgement, is highly regarded.

You will be competent in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office/Outlook and accounting/payroll software, with experience in WorkflowMax (or similar systems) an advantage. Strong professional communication skills, excellent organisation, reliability and a proactive approach are essential.

Salary Package
  • Higher-level accounts experience (including BAS): $50 per hour
  • Solid accounts/admin experience: $45 per hour
  • General admin/accounts experience with strong potential: $38 per hour
