Job summary

Villa Maria Catholic Homes Limited (VMCH) is seeking an Accountant to support the Retirement Living portfolio. In this 12‑month fixed-term role, you’ll work across financial accounting, reporting, resident contracts, settlements and compliance, contributing to the implementation of new retirement living requirements.

You’ll collaborate with the Finance team and stakeholders to maintain accurate financial information, strengthen processes and drive efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in corporate accounting, finance or a related function.
• CA/CPA qualified, working towards accreditation, or intending to commence.
• Strong accounting knowledge, including transactions, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting, reporting and reconciliations across the Retirement Living portfolio.
• Support resident contracts, settlements and associated financial processes.
• Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with relevant requirements.
• Assist with the implementation of new Retirement Living Act requirements and processes.
• Partner with Finance and key stakeholders to improve processes and support effective Retirement Living operations.
