Job summary

VMCH is seeking an Accountant to support our Retirement Living portfolio in Melbourne. The role covers financial accounting, reporting, contracts and settlements, with a focus on compliance and new Retirement Living Act requirements.

You will work with the Finance team and key stakeholders, building strong relationships while broadening experience across finance, property and retirement living. This is a fixed-term 12-month opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in corporate accounting, finance or related function.
• CA/CPA qualified, or working towards accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting, reporting and reconciliations across the Retirement Living portfolio.
• Support resident contracts, settlements and associated financial processes.
• Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with relevant requirements.
• Assist with the implementation of new Retirement Living Act requirements and processes.
• Partner with Finance and stakeholders to improve processes and support operations.
