Resthaven Incorporated in Wayville, SA invites a Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. Permanent, full-time role based at our modern head office, with accountability for general ledger, month-end close and statutory reporting in a not-for-profit aged care environment.

You will bring a tertiary accounting qualification and CA/CPA eligibility, 10+ years’ experience, strong Excel, and familiarity with not-for-profit standards and external audits.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or related discipline, and membership (or eligibility for membership) of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or Certified Practising Accountants Australia.
• At least ten years’ experience in a financial accounting role with responsibility for month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards as they apply to not-for-profit entities, including revenue, leases, and employee benefits.
• Experience preparing Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax returns and an understanding of the tax concessions available to charities and public benevolent institutions.
• Demonstrated experience managing an external audit, including preparation of the audit file and resolution of auditor queries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with a mid-tier or enterprise finance system.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to meet fixed reporting deadlines, clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Satisfactory National Police Certificate and any worker screening clearance required under the Aged Care Act, maintained throughout employment.
