Keyts Facility Services is an established Australian business providing cleaning, housekeeping and facility services across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our Finance team and looking for an Accountant to take responsibility for the financial reporting and performance of our Housekeeping division.

The opportunity

Are you an Accountant who enjoys looking beyond the numbers and finding better ways of doing things? Reporting directly to our CFO, you will work alongside our existing Accountant and closely with our Operations and Contract Administration teams.

You will be responsible for the financial reporting and accounting activities of our Housekeeping division, while also contributing to company-wide financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial accounts, management reports, reconciliations and month-end adjustments.

Work with the existing Accountant on company-wide financial reporting, year-end accounts, GST reconciliations and BAS preparation.

Maintain accurate accounting records in Xero, including journals, accruals, tracking categories and cost allocations.

Develop and monitor Housekeeping budgets, forecasts and financial performance.

Analyse contract profitability, labour costs, supplier expenses and financial variances.

Assess the financial viability of new contracts, including costings, pricing and expected margins.

Contribute to cash flow forecasting and provide financial analysis and recommendations to the CFO and COO.

Review financial controls and investigate cost discrepancies.

Work with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll to ensure accurate financial information.

Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, reporting and internal controls.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Accountant who combines strong technical accounting capability with a positive, collaborative approach. You will have excellent attention to detail, enjoy solving problems and be comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in an accounting position, with a sound understanding of financial reporting and general accounting procedures.

Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.

Knowledge of Australian GST and BAS requirements.

Experience using Xero or similar accounting software, along with strong Excel skills.

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in housekeeping, facilities management, hospitality or other contract-based service businesses would be an advantage.

A permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week) with a competitive salary of $90,000 to $100,000 per annum plus superannuation.
