Job summary

Keyts Facility Services in Melbourne is expanding its Finance team and seeks an Accountant to manage financial reporting and performance of the Housekeeping division. Reporting to the CFO, you will work with the existing Accountant and closely with Operations and Contract Administration.

You will prepare monthly accounts, budgets, variances, GST/BAS, and contribute to company-wide reporting. Proficiency in Xero and Excel, strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience with financial reporting and general accounting procedures.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.
• Knowledge of Australian GST and BAS requirements.
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting software and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounts, management reports, reconciliations and month-end adjustments.
• Assist in company-wide financial reporting, year-end accounts, GST reconciliations and BAS preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Xero, including journals, accruals and cost allocations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance for the Housekeeping division.
• Analyse contract profitability, labour costs, supplier expenses and financial variances.
• Assist cash flow forecasting and provide financial analysis to CFO/COO.
• Review financial controls and investigate cost discrepancies.
