Responsibilities

• Assist with financial reporting preparation and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules aligned with accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain fixed asset register including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Assist BAS/GST, sales tax, and other indirect tax returns.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and internal controls.
• Support system enhancements or migrations affecting reporting/compliance.

The Opportunity

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Reporting, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assist with financial reporting preparation and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules by ensuring appropriate application of accounting standards.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
• Support BAS/GST, sales tax, and other indirect tax returns
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and internal controls
• Support system enhancements or migrations that impact reporting and compliance

The Expertise
