Job summary

Iglu Student Accommodation in Sydney seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to join the Finance Team. You will run the full payroll function, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support compliance across the business.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will help strengthen financial accuracy and drive efficient processes. The role requires at least 2 years' experience in financial accounting and payroll, strong Excel skills, and working rights in Australia.

• Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Definitiv or SAP Concur is highly regarded.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Controller, this role plays a key part in managing payroll and accounts payable, and strengthening financial accuracy and compliance across Iglu.

Key responsibilities include:

• Run the full payroll function, including reconciliations and reporting
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations across the business
• Administer SAP Concur for expense reimbursements and staff training
• Act as first point of contact for payroll and creditor queries
• Support compliance with financial regulations

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful you will have the following skills and attributes:

• 2+ years' experience in financial accounting and payroll processing
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately
• Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Definitiv or SAP Concur is highly regarded
• Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute within a team environment
• A related degree in accounting, finance or a similar field
