Michael Page Australia is seeking a skilled accountant to join their growing finance team in Australia. The role offers a broad exposure across the entire finance function and a hands-on opportunity to own finance processes and drive continuous improvements.

You will manage month-end close, reporting, AP/AR, payroll, tax compliance and contribute to budgeting and audits within a collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent
• CPA or CA qualification preferred or in progress
• 3-5+ years of experience in a broad accounting position
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficient with accounting systems and Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Aufgaben

• Manage the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, supplier payments and reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections and debtor management
• Process payroll and manage superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax obligations
• Prepare BAS, GST reconciliations and assist with statutory compliance requirements
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and treasury activities
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial variance analysis
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and preparation of audit schedules
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across finance operations

The Successful Applicant
