Job summary

Perigon Group in Parramatta surrounds seeks a hands-on Financial Accountant to support the Finance Director across a broad range of accounting responsibilities. The role offers a clear career path to Senior Accountant or Finance Manager and sits in a collaborative finance team.

You will assist with monthly financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations (bank, intercompany), cash flow forecasting, and BAS compliance, while contributing to process improvements and control enhancements.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified CA/CPA with 2–5 years+ in accounting.
• Strong experience in month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Candidates from product-based industries (wholesale/retail) will be highly favoured.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reporting and support month-end close processes.
• Support year-end close, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting; BAS compliance.
• Online banking payments, credit card reconciliations, and expense management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and identify process improvements.

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join an established, national Australian business in a varied Financial Accountant role, working closely with the Finance Director and gaining broad exposure across the finance function.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive finance team in a hands-on Financial Accountant role, providing key support to the Financial Controller across financial reporting, compliance and day-to-day finance operations.

You will be responsible for assisting with monthly financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing bank and intercompany reconciliations, assisting with cash flow reporting and forecasting, and supporting statutory compliance requirements including BAS.

The role will also involve online banking payments, corporate credit card reconciliations, expense management, fixed asset records and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

About you

You are a qualified or part-qualified CA/CPA with 2-5 years+ in accounting with strong experience in month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation
