Imagine Education Group on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Accountant to help ensure accurate financial reporting across the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle core accounting duties in a dynamic environment.

You will manage statutory compliance (BAS, FBT, payroll tax), GL maintenance, bank accounts, and month-end reporting, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with stakeholders to support the organisation's education programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Proficient with Excel and financial reporting processes.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload.

Responsabilités

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance across the business. This is a hands‑on role suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

About your new role

Statutory requirements and compliance including BAS, FBT, Payroll tax

General ledger maintenance and reconciliations

Manage bank accounts, credit cards and banking relationship

Mentoring of junior staff

Preparation of end of month reporting

Ad doc duties as needed

About you

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting.

Minimum three years’ experience in an accounting role.

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices

Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

Experience working to a deadline and prioritising workload

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to interact with stakeholders

Professionally mannered with good written and verbal communication skills

Willing to learn with a positive approach to tasks and a strong attention to detail

Strong organisational skills and able to work both independently and part of a team
