Hooker & Heijden in Melbourne's Western Suburbs is seeking an Account Manager to oversee an established SME portfolio. You will manage renewals, policy servicing, claims, new business and debtors, with support staff available as needed.

This full-time, office-based role requires Tier 1 compliance, keen attention to detail and a collaborative approach to build strong client relationships and drive growth as the business expands.

• Must have account management experience in an insurance brokerage with SME clients.
• Tier 1 compliant and detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Experience with WinBeat and OfficeTech is advantageous.

About the Organisation

Our client is a boutique insurance brokerage in Melbourne's Western Suburbs and part of the Steadfast network. It looks after SME clients across a wide range of general insurance classes.

The business is growing, and this is a newly created role.

About the Role

We're looking for an Account Manager to look after an established SME portfolio worth $300k to $400k in income.

You’ll manage the portfolio end to end, covering renewals, policy servicing, claims, new business and debtors. Support staff are available depending on workload.

This is a full portfolio role, not an assistant role. It is office based, five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Managing an SME client portfolio worth $300k to $400k in income
• Preparing renewals and servicing policies across the portfolio
• Generating new business
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

You’ll bring account management experience from an insurance brokerage, working with SME clients. You’ll be Tier 1 compliant and have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ideally you’ll also have:

• Experience with WinBeat and OfficeTech
• Good skills in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
