Job summary

YWCA Australia is seeking an Accommodation Worker to support guests accessing medical treatment. You will handle bookings, check-ins and check-outs, and provide practical assistance to ensure a comfortable stay.

The role operates on a rotating roster, including night shifts and sleepovers, with a focus on delivering a welcoming home away from home and a compassionate, professional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in accommodation, hospitality, customer service or administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Respectful and inclusive with diverse backgrounds.
• Calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Rotating roster availability, including nights and sleepovers.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and First Aid/CPR/Food Safety certificates, or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support guests travelling for medical treatment to access accommodation services.
• Assist with bookings, check-ins and check-outs and accommodation administration.
• Provide practical support across the facility to ensure comfort and safety.
• Work a rotating roster including night shifts and sleepovers to cover guest needs.
