Job summary

The Decipher Bureau is seeking an Access Security Engineer focused on vulnerability research and software engineering across Android/Linux platforms. You will transform security research and PoC techniques into robust, ship-ready capabilities, contributing to national security outcomes.

We value deep knowledge of vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and exploit development, with strong software engineering in C/C++/Java/Kotlin and familiarity with tools like Ghidra, IDA, Frida, and ADB.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills, ideally C/C++, Java or Kotlin.
• Deep Android and/or Linux knowledge.
• Vulnerability research, reverse engineering or exploit development experience.
• Exposure to Ghidra, IDA, Frida, ADB or similar tooling.
• Understanding of OS internals, memory management and platform security.
• Ideally Defence, intelligence or national security experience.

Responsibilities

This isn't your typical cyber security role.

We're exclusively partnering with a specialist cyber engineering team working on highly technical capabilities supporting national security outcomes.

Sitting at the intersection of vulnerability research and software engineering, you'll work across Android/Linux platforms, taking security research and proof-of-concept techniques and turning them into robust, shippable capabilities.

What you'll bring

• Strong software engineering skills, ideally C/C++, Java or Kotlin
• Deep Android and/or Linux knowledge
• Vulnerability research, reverse engineering or exploit development experience
• Exposure to Ghidra, IDA, Frida, ADB or similar tooling
• Understanding of OS internals, memory management and platform security
