Job summary

North Sydney Council is seeking an experienced Access & Inclusion Lead to shape an accessible and inclusive North Sydney. You will provide strategic leadership to embed access, equity and inclusion across services, facilities, programs and infrastructure, and lead the Disability Inclusion Action Plan with partners and internal teams.

You will champion universal design, engage with people with disability and community groups, and influence decision-making at senior levels to deliver lasting

Qualifications

• Experience in disability inclusion, community development or related field.
• Understanding of accessibility and universal design principles.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and influence change in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and evolution of the Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across the Council to embed access, equity and inclusion in services.
• Identify funding opportunities and enable age-friendly and inclusive initiatives.
