Job summary

The University of Sydney seeks a Specialist in Small Animal Anaesthesia to join the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney. You will bring a strong clinical background and contribute to student development and a globally accredited training program in small animal anaesthesia.

Qualifications

Veterinary degree registrable in NSW, Australia.
Diplomate or Fellowship permitting registration as a Specialist in small animal anaesthesia.
Strong clinical background with interest in student development.

Responsibilities

Maintain reputation for academic excellence.
Provide high-quality anaesthesia services for UVTHS clients during hours and after-hours as needed.
Develop expanding client base for the anaesthesia service.
Coordinate daily activities in the anaesthesia unit and assist in case-management.
Contribute to education of DVM students and continuing education.
Support unit planning, financial viability, and research activities.
Provide anaesthesia services to Camden clinic on rotation as required.
Participate in meetings and strategic planning led by Hospital Director.
