Job summary

The University of Melbourne, Melbourne Law School, is seeking an Academic Programs Coordinator (Wellbeing) to provide confidential student support, coordinate exams and wellbeing initiatives, and collaborate with academics and University services.

You will develop online wellbeing content, support Orientation and Wellness Week, and help advance equity and success for a diverse student cohort.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification complemented by experience in student support, academic administration or related services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them with accuracy and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential consultations to students on special consideration, adjustments and referrals to internal and external support services.
  • Liaise with University Services, lecturers and ASO colleagues to implement equitable arrangements for students with special requirements.
  • Coordinate administrative processes for special, alternative and supplementary exams, extensions, timetables and assessment-related enquiries.
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of Teaching and Learning web content on wellbeing, mental health and resources.
  • Plan and support wellbeing and health promotion events, including Orientation, Wellness Week and major school activities.

Location: Parkville

Contract: Full time

End Date: September 22, 2026

Salary: UoM 6 - $100,847 - $109,163 p.a. plus 17% super

Faculty: Melbourne Law School

What you will deliver:
  • Provide confidential consultations to students on special consideration, adjustments and referrals to internal and external support services.

  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, building productive relationships with students, academics and professional staff.
  • Use advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office, email and student management systems to streamline workflows and reporting.
