Job summary

The Aboriginal Assistant Manager at Acmena Youth Justice Centre in Grafton is responsible for day-to-day delivery of client services for young people sentenced or on remand, ensuring a safe and secure therapeutic setting in accordance with relevant legislation.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team, overseeing rostering, performance and training, and manages centre programs across counselling, education and health to meet individual case plans and ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Communicating respectfully with Aboriginal communities in a culturally sensitive way.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, overseeing rostering, performance and training, and manages centre programs across counselling, WHS and education to meet individual case plans and ensure quality outcomes.
• Manage client service delivery, ensuring effective psychological, counselling, health, education and support programs aligned with individual case plans.
• Coordinate and evaluate centre and community-based programs for young people with complex needs, ensuring quality outcomes and funding compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of key reports, briefings, reviews and submissions, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Lead case planning processes, supporting staff to develop, implement and review individual.
