Job summary

Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative – Justice & Community Services now has the following vacancy at our Shepparton Office: Bail and Remand Case Manager. Full-time, 38 hours per week; fixed-term until 30 June 2028.

Aboriginal Designated Position under Equal Opportunity Act provisions. The role delivers culturally led services to help Aboriginal people obtain bail, meet conditions, and transition from remand to community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Victorian criminal justice system incl. Bail Act 1977 and court processes.
• Barriers faced by Aboriginal people; commitment to self-determination and culturally safe practice.
• Knowledge of local housing, health, family violence, and support services relevant to bail/remand.
• Highly developed case management: assessment, planning, referrals, monitoring, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe, Aboriginal-led case management.
• Help clients obtain bail and comply with conditions.
• Support transition from remand to community within Shepparton region.
