Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development NSW – Tamworth is seeking an Aboriginal identified Project Officer to support freshwater recovery, native fish and cultural outcomes in the Menindee Fish Passage Program.

You will work closely with Aboriginal communities, government agencies and project teams to share cultural knowledge, coordinate engagement activities and contribute to advice that informs freshwater management with Aboriginal values.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated knowledge, respect and understanding of Aboriginal culture.
• Experience engaging effectively with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting projects in natural resource management or conservation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
• Ability to travel to western NSW as required for work purposes.

Aufgaben

• Support delivery of freshwater recovery, native fish and cultural outcomes in Western NSW.
• Contribute to the Menindee Fish Passage Program and engage with Aboriginal communities and government agencies.
• Assist with project activities and provide advice to reflect Aboriginal cultural values in freshwater management.
