Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a CALHN Assistant in Nursing for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander casual pool across 2026–2027. You will support patient care within your scope, learning on the job while receiving mentorship from Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

Eligible candidates must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, enrolled in a nursing program, with first-year completed by start date, and hold Ahpra student registration.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an approved nursing program leading to registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have completed at least the first year of nursing study by start date.
• Hold current Ahpra student registration.
• Complete CALHN required training for safe and competent practice.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care within your scope of practice.
• Learn on the job and grow clinical skills with guidance from experienced nurses.
• Be part of a supportive team serving diverse patients and communities.
• Engage with the interprofessional team and families to provide person-centred care.
