Job summary

Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative – Family, Care & Early Years invites applications for the Better Futures Community Connector. This full‑time, 38 hours per week role focuses on building networks and pathways for young people aged 15 years 9 months to 21 leaving residential or out of home care, to engage with Better Futures and Home Stretch.

You will develop partnerships with professionals, coordinate case planning, and create annual plans that empower Aboriginal clients to achieve housing,

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designation required.
• Diploma in Community Services or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Good knowledge of child protection and out-of-home care systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Facilitation to organise activities for young people.
• Demonstrated ability to build networks and advocate for young people.
• Ability to liaise with housing providers and real estate agents.
• Strong relationship-building with young people.

Responsibilities

• Build networks and partnerships with professionals supporting young people.
• Contribute to case planning and annual work plans.
• Identify pathways and resources to support housing, education, employment, and wellbeing.
• Empower Aboriginal clients through culturally sensitive planning and review outcomes.
