Job summary

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking an Aboriginal Patient Navigator in Alice Springs. This full-time role focuses on providing practical, day-to-day support to navigate cancer care and related services for Aboriginal people, families and communities.

You will work closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure wrap-around support, cultural safety and access to health services across Central Australia.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Awareness of Aboriginal culture and history and factors influencing health of Aboriginal families in Central Australia.
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide equitable, culturally responsive support to Aboriginal people, families, and communities throughout the cancer journey.
• Navigate health and community services to ensure wrap-around support for clients and their families.
• Collaborate with medical and non-medical professionals to coordinate care and services.
