Job summary

ARB Cockburn in Cockburn, Western Australia invites a energetic Retail Sales Associate to join our family-owned store. You will deliver expert product consultations and upsell 4x4 accessories to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service ethic with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proven track record in retail sales, consultative selling, and negotiation within the automotive, 4x4, or outdoor recreation sectors.
• Genuine passion for 4x4 vehicles, off-road adventures, and outdoor recreation.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with aftermarket 4x4 accessories (e.g., suspension, bull bars, roof racks, dual batteries).
• High energy, self-motivated, proactive go-getter attitude with a drive to achieve results.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, follow-up skills, and pride in visual/retail displays.
• Proficiency with Point of Sale systems, retail technology, and customer management tools.
• Physical capability to work on your feet, handle stock, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, providing expert product consultations, and answering inquiries via phone, email, and counter.
• Preparing accurate quotes, processing sales orders, and handling Point of Sale transactions and invoicing.
• Proactively upselling, cross-selling, and recommending 4x4 accessories to optimize customer vehicle builds.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and workshop management to schedule vehicle fitments and ensure quality delivery standards.
• Managing stock ordering, backorders, and maintaining attractive showroom product displays.
• Following up on sales opportunities and maintaining ongoing customer relationships.
• Participating in rotating Saturday morning shifts and special events, such as 4x4 shows and open days.
