Job summary

Ironman 4x4 Wetherill Park is seeking an experienced 4WD Accessory Fitter / Automotive Technician to join a brand-new flagship workshop. You will fit aftermarket accessories across new and existing 4WDs, utes and touring vehicles using quality equipment and product lines.

Ideal candidates have 4WD fitting or automotive workshop experience, strong mechanical skills and a keen eye for detail. A Motor Mechanic or Auto Electrician background is highly regarded; drivers licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience fitting aftermarket 4WD accessories.
• Strong mechanical and automotive fitting skills.
• Knowledge of 12V electrical systems is advantageous.
• Ability to follow safety and quality standards.

• Fit a broad range of aftermarket accessories on 4WDs and utes.

Join the team at Sydney’s newest Ironman 4x4 flagship store

Ironman 4x4 Wetherill Park is opening soon — and we’re building our workshop team from the ground up.

Ironman 4x4 is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of 4WD accessories, suspension, protection equipment, touring products and camping gear.

With our brand-new Wetherill Park flagship location currently under construction, we are looking for experienced and passionate 4WD Accessory Fitters / Automotive Technicians to join us from the beginning.

This is an opportunity to work in a brand-new workshop, with quality equipment, a huge variety of vehicles and some of the latest 4WD products on the market.

The Role

You will be responsible for fitting a broad range of aftermarket accessories across everything from brand-new 4WDs and utes through to touring, recreational, trade and fleet vehicles.

No two builds are the same.

Depending on your experience, your work may include:

• Bull bars, side steps and protection equipment

• Suspension systems and GVM upgrades

• Winches and recovery equipment

• Driving lights, light bars and UHF radios

• Roof racks and platforms

• Canopies and ute accessories

• Roller shutters and tonneau covers

• Snorkels

• Dual battery and 12V electrical systems

• Tow bars and towing accessories

• Drawers and touring equipment

• Complete vehicle builds from standard vehicle through to finished 4WD

You will also be responsible for ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while treating every customer's vehicle with the level of care it deserves.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for people who genuinely take pride in their work.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous 4WD accessory fitting or automotive workshop experience

• Strong mechanical and automotive fitting skills

• Experience fitting aftermarket 4WD accessories

• Good understanding of automotive fitting principles

• 12V and auto electrical experience highly regarded

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work efficiently without compromising workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good problem-solving skills

• A current Australian driver's licence

• A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning

A qualification as a Motor Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Auto Electrician will be highly regarded.

However, if you are an experienced 4WD accessory fitter with a strong track record and excellent workmanship, we still want to hear from you.
