Job summary

NEPEAN Longwall is a leading provider of underground mining equipment in Australia. They seek a motivated Trade Assistant to support tradespeople across multiple departments at the Paget, Mackay QLD site.

You will assist with maintenance, repairs and general workshop duties while upholding WHS standards and working within a collaborative team environment. Valid licences are preferred, with opportunities to develop across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or General Labourer is preferred.
• Forklift operation and rigging knowledge are advantageous.
• Current Driver’s Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with allocated tasks across Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, and Gearbox.
• Perform general labouring and manual handling of materials up to 15kg.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and rigging equipment where licensed.
• Carry out general duties including steam/high-pressure cleaning and painting.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and facility upkeep.
• Ensure safe handling of materials, tools and equipment.
