Job summary

Southern Cross Switchboards is seeking a hands-on Switchboard Foreman / Team Leader to manage our Silverwater workshop, guiding a skilled team through LV switchboard projects with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will supervise production activities, mentor tradespeople, and stay involved in manufacturing processes including busbar fabrication, assembly and wiring.

Qualifications

• Proven LV switchboard manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lead workshop teams and mentor tradespeople.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate workshop personnel.
• Oversee busbar fabrication: cutting, bending, punching and assembly.
• Manage switchboard assembly and wiring processes.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics for production.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across the workshop.
• Monitor project timelines and productivity within the workshop.
• Coordinate materials and workflow to meet production needs.
• Support apprentices and tradespeople in daily tasks.
