Job summary

Qualifications

• Current enrolment or status in a 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprenticeship with a registered training organisation.
• Sound knowledge of plumbing principles and Australian building standards and codes.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and plumbing equipment safely and correctly.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced plumbers on residential, commercial and maintenance projects across Sydney.
• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures and water heating.
• Use hand and power tools safely and to industry standards.
• Read and interpret plumbing plans and technical drawings.
• Test and commission plumbing systems to meet codes.
• Maintain records of work and materials used on each job.
• Follow safety practices on all sites and participate in block release training.
• Support senior plumbers with site prep, tool management and tidiness.

Milo Plumbing Solutions is seeking a dedicated 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice to join our team in South Windsor, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to progress through the final stages of your plumbing apprenticeship whilst gaining practical, hands-on experience with a reputable local plumbing company. In this role, you will work alongside experienced plumbers, developing your technical skills and preparing yourself for qualification as a fully licensed tradesperson. This position is integral to our operations, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to our service delivery whilst continuing your structured learning pathway towards becoming a competent and professional plumber.

What you'll be doing

Assisting experienced plumbers on residential, commercial and maintenance plumbing projects across Sydney.

Installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings and water heating systems

Using hand and power tools safely and effectively to carry out plumbing work to industry standards

Reading and interpreting plumbing plans and technical drawings to understand project specifications

Testing and commissioning plumbing systems to ensure they meet building codes and regulatory requirements

Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used on each job

Practising safe working practices on all job sites, adhering to work health and safety procedures

Continuing structured learning as part of your apprenticeship, including block release training and on-the-job assessment

Supporting senior plumbers with site preparation, tool management and general site tidiness

Communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and any issues encountered

What we're looking for

Current enrolment or status in a 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprenticeship with a registered training organisation

Sound knowledge of plumbing principles, practices and relevant Australian building standards and codes

Demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and plumbing equipment safely and correctly

Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to plumbing work and construction sites

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications accurately

Good problem-solving skills and ability to think through practical challenges

Reliable, punctual and committed to completing tasks to a high standard

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Physical fitness and capability to perform plumbing work, which may involve lifting, climbing and working in confined spaces

Valid driver's licence is preferred, as you may be required to travel between job sites
