Quickcare on the Upper North Shore of Sydney is seeking a 2IC / Emerging Centre Director. You'll balance on‑the‑floor teaching with steps toward centre leadership, mentoring the team and modelling best-practice curriculum, documentation, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (ECT)
• Extensive industry experience, ideally in a Room Leader or 2IC capacity
• Genuine leadership qualities with ambition to progress to Director
• Hands-on educator roles with progression towards centre leadership
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standard
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Current Working with Children Check
• Child Protection & Child Safety Training
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification

Responsibilities

• Work on the floor as an experienced educator and mentor to the team
• Support the Provider with day-to-day operations and leadership tasks
• Gradually taking on more off-the-floor responsibilities as you progress towards Director
• Lead by example—modelling best-practice curriculum, documentation, and family engagement
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the educator team
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant regulations

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for either an exceptional Room Leader ready to step up, or an experienced 2IC looking for their pathway to Director. You'll start the role as 2IC, working both on and off the floor, with a clear, supported progression towards taking on the Director position as you grow into it. You'll need to be someone who can wear a few different hats - leading with passion while still being hands-on in the room, and gradually shifting focus off the floor and into centre leadership as the role evolves.
