Job summary

Learning Wonderland Early Learning in Riverwood NSW is seeking an experienced Assistant Director (2IC) / Educational Leader to join our leadership team. You will mentor educators, lead curriculum in line with EYLF and NQS, and ensure daily management of the service.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on leadership, off-the-floor responsibilities, and stepping into the Director's role when required, with a focus on child safety and strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Has ACECQA-approved ECT or Diploma qualification.
• Diploma applicants must have 5+ years' Educational Leader experience.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an early childhood service.
• Committed to child safety, rights and safe, responsive environments.
• Holds a current Working With Children Check.
• Holds current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Has current Child Protection training.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preschool Room and deliver high-quality educational program.
• Assist Centre Director with daily management of the service.
• Act as Responsible Person and step into Director's role when required.
• Mentor educators with programming, observations and reflection.
• Lead curriculum development in line with EYLF and NQS.
• Support compliance, QIP and continuous improvement.
• Promote strong child-safe culture across the service.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team.
