Job summary

The Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland – The Gap Uniting Early Learning is seeking an experienced educator to lead a room and support service-wide operations. This part-time role blends hands-on practice with leadership and compliance responsibilities within a faith-based organisation.

You will mentor staff, maintain a high-quality, play-based program, and ensure alignment with EYLF, NQS and regulatory standards while fostering strong relationships with families and the local community.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles such as Responsible Person, 2IC or acting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, QKLG, NQS, National Law and Regulations.
• Ability to guide behaviour positively and support individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Mentor educators within your room and across the service.
• Build trusted relationships with children and families.
• Support centre operations including rostering, enrolments, and communications.
• Act as the Responsible Person when required and ensure NQF compliance.
• Step into the Centre Director role during absences.
