Job summary

BOLTMASTERS PTY LTD in Cairns is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager (2IC) to support the Branch Manager in leading our fast-paced counter-sales team. You will help drive sales growth, support an experienced internal team and step into Branch Manager duties when required.

You will bring strong communication, leadership, and planning skills, with an understanding of sales, distribution or fasteners. This is a stable, full-time role in a well-established company.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Understanding of sales or distribution is advantageous.
• Experience with industrial fasteners is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager with daily branch operations and team coordination.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to branch staff.
• Assist with sales, distribution, stock control and branch administration.
• Contribute to achieving branch sales targets and budgets.
• Build strong relationships with existing customers and deliver excellent service.

About your new role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and commercially astute Assistant Branch Manager (2IC) to support the Branch Manager in leading our successful Cairns team.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the main focus of the role is to assist with the day-to-day running of our fast-paced counter-sales branch and support an experienced internal team. You will help drive sales growth across the existing client base, identify new business opportunities, and promote the range of services and products we offer. You will also step into the Branch Manager's responsibilities when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Branch Manager with daily branch operations and team coordination.
• Providing guidance, coaching and support to branch staff.
• Assisting with sales, distribution, stock control and branch administration.
• Contributing to the achievement of branch sales targets and budgets.
• Building strong relationships with existing customers and delivering excellent service.
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Taking responsibility for branch operations in the Branch Manager's absence.

About you

You will possess excellent communication, leadership, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to support the Branch Manager and confidently lead the team when required. Previous supervisory or management experience and/or an understanding of sales, industrial fasteners or distribution would be an advantage.

You will also have:
