Job summary

Airservices Australia invites applications for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Built Environment, Facilities & Fleet Management team. The 24-month temporary full-time role is based at Melbourne Airport or Brisbane Airport, supporting the NexGen program and ARFFS fleet assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
• Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer – Electrical (RPEQ or equivalent).
• Minimum five years' professional engineering experience, ideally in asset-intensive or project delivery environments.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Understanding of systems engineering and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Support NexGen Program by introducing new ULFV assets.
• Collaborate with operational, engineering and project teams to transition assets safely into service.
• Provide engineering assurance under Airservices' Technology Management Framework.
• Advise on vehicle electrical systems and fleet infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with CASA Part 139H and regulatory requirements for ARFFS assets.
• Investigate, analyse and resolve technical issues affecting ARFFS fleet assets.
• Contribute to systems engineering activities and asset lifecycle decisions.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and recommendations.
• Engage with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders for maintainability.
