Ignite's client, a government‑owned organisation serving the aviation sector, seeks an Electrical Engineering Specialist to manage lifecycle, reliability and performance of ARFFS assets across Australia. You will provide specialist electrical and systems engineering expertise to support safe, efficient operations.

Working with engineering, maintenance, asset management and project delivery teams, you will lead technical decisions, enforce Australian Standards and aviation regulations, and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' professional engineering experience.
• Strong Systems Engineering and requirements management experience.
• Experience working in asset-intensive environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience applying Australian Standards and engineering best practice.
• Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration (RPEQ or equivalent highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and engineering advice across a diverse asset portfolio.
• Apply Systems Engineering principles and requirements management methodologies.
• Investigate, analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support asset lifecycle planning, maintenance and reliability improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering specifications and recommendations.
• Deliver engineering solutions that improve asset performance and operational outcomes.
• Engage with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support project delivery and engineering governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding and application of Aviation regulations, including CASR Part 171, CASR Part 139H.
