Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia seeks an Operations Team Lead to coordinate the Wakulda Operations Support Team within the RAAF’s Air Battle Management System. You’ll orchestrate daily tasks, ensure 24/7 availability, and act as the critical link between RAAF units, Boeing engineers, and the Defence customer.

Ideal candidates are disciplined leaders with advanced scheduling, stakeholder management, and meticulous documentation, able to operate in a high-tempo military environment from Williamtown.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams or workflows in a high-tempo, mission-critical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, changing schedules with real-time prioritisation.
• Excellent communication with military personnel, government customers, and internal teams.
• Meticulous documentation, reporting (KPIs) and handling administrative workflows like Trouble Reports.
• Resilient leadership capable of operating in a 24/7 operational unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational planning for Wakulda Service Technicians to meet mission requirements.
• Manage a fluid work schedule and adapt in real-time to 24/7 RAAF operations.
• Coordinate scheduling of routine and deeper-level maintenance with correct resources.
• Serve as liaison for RAAF units and Defence customer, providing real-time status updates.
• Escalate technical issues to Boeing Engineering and ensure integrated support.
• Oversee lifecycle of Trouble Reports and report on KPI performance.
