Job summary

Forensicare is recruiting a CST Coordinator based at Thomas Embling Hospital in Melbourne. The role leads the Clinical Support Team to deliver responsive clinical support, engagement, early intervention and incident response across a 24/7 operation.

The Coordinator drives evidence-informed, trauma-informed, least restrictive care while partnering with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to maintain a safe therapeutic environment and support treating teams in preventing violence and aggression.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA in a relevant discipline (Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychology), or eligibility for membership with AASW, with post-registration clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership coordinating and supporting multidisciplinary teams, including operational leadership and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to support risk assessment, safety planning and proactive risk reduction, with commitment to trauma-informed, least restrictive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the Clinical Support Team across a 24/7 operation.
• Lead and promote evidence-informed approaches to preventing, reducing and safely managing clinical violence and aggression.
• Promote safety, de-escalation and proactive risk reduction alongside trauma-informed care principles.
• Coordinate staff, supervision and training to maintain high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on risk assessment, safety planning and complex case responses.
