Job summary

Our Lady of the Assumption School in Cheltenham, VIC, invites applications for two Learning Support Officers to join our caring, Catholic school community. These fixed-term part-time roles (0.8 FTE and 0.6 FTE) focus on supporting student wellbeing and learning in partnership with teachers.

Successful applicants will contribute to inclusive education, work collaboratively with staff, and support students with targeted needs across classroom, playground and offsite activities as required.

This is an exciting time for our school and we are looking for two passionate and caring Learning Support Officers to be part of our great community (5 day position and 4 day position negotiable). We also are looking to increase our list of LSO's for casual relief - please be in touch if this interests you.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the part time (0.8 FTE & 0.6FTE) fixed term position of Learning Support Officer to commence on 27 January 2027, concluding on 26 January 2028. This is a position under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team based approach to learning and teaching.

The Learning Support Officer is responsible for working in partnership with the Learning Diversity Leader, classroom teachers and colleagues in supporting students within the classroom, specialist subject areas, in the playground if required and offsite when necessary.
