Job summary

Programmed is seeking 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Boilermaker to join the Muswellbrook workshop in the Hunter Valley. The role runs Mon-Fri, 06:00–14:30, with hands-on training and TAFe study to qualify as a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Trade.

We value teammates who are motivated, safety‑conscious and eager to build a long-term career with an industry leader. No prior experience required beyond enthusiasm and reliability.

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
• Completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course is advantageous, but not essential.
• A current Driver's License is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn the safe use of tools and equipment and assemble metal parts to fabricate, maintain and repair mechanical plant.
• Gain hands-on, on-the-job training with qualified tradespeople and TAFe study.

We are looking for 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Boilermaker to join our existing team in the Hunter Valley. The hours will be Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30 in the Muswellbrook workshop.

The Role

Due to continued growth we are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our NSW (Hunter Industrial Region) team in the who are based in Muswellbrook. Working closely with qualified and experienced tradespeople, Supervisors and even other Apprentices you will gain valuable skills & knowledge to ultimately secure your trade qualification (Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Trade).

As an Apprentice Boilermaker you will learn the safe use of tools and equipment (including hand and power tools and plant machinery) to assemble metal parts to fabricate, maintain and repair mechanical plant, production machines and other equipment. You will have exposure working in a workshop environment as well as various client sites as your apprenticeship progresses. Your week will incorporate learning the trade at Tafe and receiving hands-on, on-the-job training.

We will invest in you over the four year apprenticeship so you can continue your career with us, with potential to move into Leadership roles such as a Site Supervisor or Operations Manager in the future. An apprenticeship can unlock a world of possibilities.
