Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services in Muswellbrook, NSW, is seeking 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Boilermaker to join our team in the Hunter Valley. You will train in our Muswellbrook workshop, with hours Monday to Friday 06:00–14:30, gaining hands‑on experience and progressing towards a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Trade.

You will work closely with qualified tradespeople, learn safe tool use, and attend TAFE for trade study.

• Ability to follow direction with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to listen and understand customer and company requirements.
• Commitment to building a long‑term career.
• Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
• A current Driver's License is preferred, but not essential; and
• Completion of a relevant pre‑apprenticeship course is advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn the safe use of tools and equipment to assemble metal parts.
• Gain skills to fabricate, maintain and repair mechanical plant and production machines.
• Work in a workshop and on client sites as the apprenticeship progresses.
• Receive hands‑on, on‑the‑job training while studying at TAFE.
