Job summary

Professional Plaster People in Melbourne is seeking a first-year plastering apprentice to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will learn plastering from experienced tradespeople, covering hanging and fixing plasterboard, stopping, setting and finishing, and architectural finishes across new builds, renovations and high-end residential projects.

No prior plastering experience is required—we will teach you the trade.

Job Description

Professional Plaster People is looking for a first-year plastering apprentice to join our team. We're a Melbourne-based plastering business working across new builds, renovations and high-end residential projects. Our work includes everything from standard plastering through to detailed architectural finishes, including curved walls and custom cornices, giving you the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills alongside experienced plasterers.

We're looking for someone who's genuinely interested in learning the trade, is reliable, willing to work hard and has a good attitude.

About the role You'll be working alongside our experienced plasterers, learning all aspects of the trade, including:

• Hanging and fixing plasterboard
• Stopping, setting and finishing
• Cornices, square set and bulkheads

Using tools, reading plans and understanding site requirements General site preparation and labouring duties

What we're looking for

• Someone genuinely interested in becoming a qualified plasterer
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work

• Able to listen, take direction and work well with others
• Reliable transport to get to work and different job sites
• White Card or willingness to obtain one

No previous plastering experience is required. We're happy to teach someone who's willing to put in the effort. School leavers and mature-age applicants are welcome to apply.
