Job summary

Federal Government Department is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to lead the data architecture, modelling and governance efforts for a government platform. The role includes guiding developers, reviewing data designs, and delivering End to End Data Delivery lifecycle leadership.

It is a 12-month contract with extension potential and an attractive hourly rate. The successful candidate will drive enterprise-scale conformed models, cloud-native data lake/warehouse delivery, and migration

One of Australia'sleading Federal Government departmentsis looking to engage an experiencedData Architectto bethe technical lead of the complex federal governemnt’s platform. This includes updating data development documentation, providing technical guidance to developers and reviewing/ approving data designs and data models. The role will provide thought leadership in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Design and Integration, as well as End to End Data Delivery Lifecycle approaches. The successfulData Architectwill secure a12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!

The successfulData Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provide technical leadership to the project delivery teams through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
• Review and refine the data delivery framework to enhance integration of new sources, performance of existing data delivery and rapid development of new subject areas.
• Set peer review and data modelling release standards.

The successfulData Architectwill have experience in the following:

• Strong Data Architecture skills including Enterprise scale conformed models and ability to design for analytical use.
• Demonstrated high level of competency in Data Architecture within an AWS cloud data environment, encompassing S3 and contemporary cloud warehouse products.
• Strong experience in technical leadership for delivery of cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse platforms, including ETL and data governance design and implementation.
