Job summary

Monash Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager for North Ward at Dandenong Hospital. This 0.8 EFT part‑time fixed‑term role continues to November 2027, focusing on leadership, clinical governance and patient-centred care within a 20-bed plastics-related surgical unit.

You will deputise for the Nurse Manager, coordinate rostering and patient flow, and drive quality improvements in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• NMBA registration with AHPRA
• Experience as Associate Nurse Manager or equivalent
• Willingness to develop leadership portfolio
• Ability to work rotating day/evening/night shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across day-to-day operations, clinical outcomes and management of unit staff.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.
• Coordinate unit activities including workload delegation, rostering and nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Undertake clinical training and engage in quality improvement aligned with standards.
