Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time Investment and Platform Analyst to join our tight-knit team in New York City.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about startups, AI, and the venture ecosystem to gain hands‑on experience across investments, founder support, sourcing, and ecosystem building. You’ll work closely with the General Partners and interface directly with early‑stage founders, investors, and thought leaders shaping the future of AI.

Key Responsibilities

Investments

• Source and evaluate early-stage startups across AI and adjacent frontier sectors.
• Conduct market research, company analysis, and competitive landscape reviews.
• Join founder meetings and assist with diligence and internal write‑ups.
• Support preparation of investment memos and internal decision materials.
• Track sector trends and maintain internal market intelligence.

Platform & Portfolio Support

• Maintain regular correspondence with portfolio companies and other investment funds to stay informed on progress, needs, and ecosystem opportunities.
• Support portfolio companies on hiring, fundraising, go‑to‑market, and partnerships.
• Maintain and improve firm tools (e.g., Affinity, Notion, CRM) and track portfolio metrics.
• Coordinate founder events, AMAs, roundtables, and networking opportunities.
• Represent Lightscape at conferences, demo days, and ecosystem gatherings.
• Build and manage relationships with founders, operators, and co‑investors.

Candidates should have

• 1–3 years of experience in VC, startups, consulting, investment banking, or a technical/operational role.
• Sharp analytical skills and ability to quickly assess markets and products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Highly organized with strong project management skills.
• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
• Deep interest in AI, emerging technology, and early‑stage company building.
